One more off the BR production line!

Another of my original compositions; 4-tracks again, with an acoustic going through the on-board mic and two layers of electric guitar. I'm went for a retro, pyschedelic feel, and the BR effect patches gave me all the tones I needed.

And as far as I know, it's the only song which has 'jammy dodgers' in the lyrics... !

Good job of capturing that feel.

At the risk of being naive, what is 'jammy dodgers' ???

Ah... Jammy Dodgers.

It's an English thing! They're little shortcake biscuits (cookies...!) with a round jam (jelly...!) circle in the centre. A bit like a cross-section of a breast with a big red nipple.

This song is actually about waking up from an operation (after having my gall bladder out) and being TOTALLY out of it. Lucy is my lovely girlfriend who was there to listen to my spaced-out nonsense.

It's a follow up to 'Another Drinking Song'.... all part of the outcome of drinking too much....

Awesome, love the tune and tone!  Do you listen to the Beatles?   ;)

The drums really sync up nice with your guitar parts.  Are these all MBR drum patches?

Are the guitar patches stock or did you mod them?

Greeny (No longer active)

Thanks!

This is all recorded with standard-issue BR patches and no modifications. I might play around with some edits in months to come, but right now everything I need is there as standard.

I'm using the STD1 Kit for most of my recordings - to me it sounds like the most natural and realistic drum sound on board. I like to keep things a bit understated and some of the others have jarring crashes here and there.

And yes... the Beatles are an inspiration and a good textbook for great and diverse songwriting. I unashamedly love them!

Hi again!!!!

I came up with my third bass line for your songs, do you need a bass player in your band??? ;) i'm not really a bass player but i like to play every instrument i have close to me and your songs are so good to me so i can't resist, not a criticism but a pop/rock song without bass to me is unfinished except Prince's songs of course, yes White Stripes too ;)

I hope you like it, an overdriven bass, a simple line, no just tonics but still simple.

Regards!!!

Hey! You did it again! Another great job. The bass gives it much more of a rock feel and evens out my lead guitar.

I like the bass buzz at the end too.

You definitely have the bass player's job in my 'band' !

I agree that most songs need some bass. So I'll post new collaborations on here when the song requires it. I do play some bass myself sometimes, but don't quite have the feel for it like you do. I think it's because I've spent so long only playing guitar.

Thanks again!

Holy sh*t listen to this one, I can't believe I missed this, must have been just before I joined.  Great song Greeny, really great.  I love this one.
