Hi, i thought id post my follow up to "War is Ugly" and "Emerald Green Summer".

This is more lyrical, so forgive my lack of vocal power...   a little 12 string, electric guitar, and piano, and bass.

Emerald Green Eyes  words and music by Tommy Satchwood..

(12 string intro)

Alone again and afraid
Haunting green eyes, maybe jade
Like those of a wild bewildered cat
Refugee camp Pakistan flat.

Describe the Sea of tents called home.
What do you eat, where do you roam?
Tragedy of war, drains the land
Child of time, can't understand...

       Bombs swallow lives with fear
       Family and friends, they disappear
The story fades, love set aside
No place to run, no place to hide

Older now, youth erased
Leather skin, but feels no disgrace
Life is hard, a bitter pill
Work all day, bomb shelter drill...

       Chorus 2

Emerald green eyes, see the calamity
Tell me a story of tragedy
The sadness of life, and barely alive
Surely the spirit will survive...

This is really great Tommy!
I love it when the 'change' comes in...
From a lyrical ballad to a rocker.
Sweet!

This is epic, Tommy!!! You have captured the fear of war in the lyrics. In the first part I heard a fine oriental vibe...stunning song!!

Man, this is frickin' awesome!! Badass to say the least - I love that cantrell style rhythm. Can't get enough of that!

And the vocals really spice it all up - At the end, I thought I was listening to King Buzzo for a moment. One of my favorite vocalists of all time.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!

I'm just catching up - I know you have a couple more I want to listento.
