Brown sticky liquid?

When I worked in a production environment, Coca Cola was the worst stuff to get inside the kit. It rots copper tracks and component leads very quickly and the race was on to get the boards out and washed. Water was always the best solvent and when dried the equipment was fine.

Good luck Geir.

When I used to be a loudspeaker engineer, one of our automotive customers had a test for dash mounted (center-fill) speakers which was to leave the speaker stand with cola in the upturned cone, and another with sweet sticky coffee.  Nothing ever survived the test.

I suspect it must have been some sweet ice tea of maybe coffe. The board looks good, and it seems like flushing out the mess from the felt with spirit has restored the mic quality to it's original good state.

One thing I forgot to mention. The frame with all the buttons is very easy to clean. I just sprayed it with some soap and washed it in the sink.
