Hey Bulldog (Beatles) acoustic cover

I know the 'thing' this month is to do electric covers of acoustic songs, but I'm reversing it with this.. in part as I don't have easy access to drum tracks, etc, plus it's a lot easier to do an acoustic cover.

So here's an acoustic cover of one of my favorite Beatle songs, John Lennon's "Hey Bulldog". The original is a great electric production with guitars, piano, bass, drums, percussion, etc.

This , by contrast, is just acoustic guitar (the Regal  resonator guitar I happened to have out and around to pick up and play when an idea comes) and vocal. I sang the vocals as an overdub. This is just one guitar track, live, and one vocal added.. and you'll hear my attempt at that great George Harrison guitar solo on the song...

A great live sound, and a very fine cover of a superb song (I'm a big fan of the song and of the Yellow Submarine film). So nicely done, both guitar and vocal-wise. And remember that unplugged songs are always welcome on here!

Nicely done, mike. I like how you played all the musical highlights from the song live on guitar. That's not an easy thing to do.

Jim, you've gotta get that 'Yellow Submarine' remastered CD! Bunch of great but lesser-known Beatles gems on that one...
