Vote for the next festival (June/July 2010)

I've picked a song to do but am wondering if I should attempt to spend lots of time (and ultimately give up and say good enough before it's finished) on a demo or if I should just simplify it down to my level and say 'there it is.' Maybe a bit of both?

Now just to get time to record the damned thing.

Lo-Fi Zappa would be cool TC, and I am sure Zappa would approve, one of the original Lo-Fi artists himself.  Any way to get er done is the way to go.

This may be the first fest I don't participate in. I just don't know any Zappa songs well enough to cover them. In fact, I almost don't know any Zappa songs full stop. I have a feeling I will by the end of the fest though!

Ha, that's EXACTLY why you should do one! I'm digging through material that I haven't even listened to.

Not sure if I'll be able to do one on my own, but I'm definitely taking every chance I can to participate. What a way to let go and just be abnormal.

Well, ZappaFest isn't doing so well in terms of the number of songs. The quality is awesome but the quantity is the lowest of any of our fests so far with only 14 songs. That's a bit surprising when you look back through the messages in this topic. Eleven people voted for ZappaFest but, so far, only seven people have contributed. What happened to the other four?

But there's still 5 days left and, hopefully, a few more posts coming. Will it at least surpass RockFest at 21 songs?

If anyone's looking for an easy Zappa song to cover, I'd suggest "Any Way the Wind Blows". I was going to do it myself but didn't find the time and I've got too much on this week to tackle it. The tabs/chords can be found via Google:
