Thanks a lot gents! I was in a dark mood and singing this was quite a release for me.

I never realized it was so rare. My girlfriend in highschool turned me on to the bauhaus. She had the double LP  "Singles 1979 - 1983" (on vinyl of course) which included Crowds.



It's also included on The CD version of "In The Flat Field".

and the more recent best of collection "Crackle".

I'm very familiar with this tune & you've done this proud Gritter. Put an edge on it but been faithful to the echoey guitars. Great vox. Took it up an octave in parts, with attitude...........Jaysus Fuckin Haiwaihai's just kicked in next LMMFAO !!!........ U clever c..nt !!!!!!!! ;D

just jumped in to listen to this because I am a huge Bauhaus fan and saw this post. Sandy, it's a great version of a really powerful song. I like the effects on the guitar which add atmosphere but don't overpower the vox. And it's a great vocal performance, very emotional without trying to ape Pete Murphy, which would be the obvious thing to do.

Great version, just loved it.
