How's life after studies? Sorry - it's not right that you have no comments!

I think the balance between music and vox on this is fine. The instrumentation is great. I like the rhythm track especially - it sounds live. Some good ambience going on and strong guitar skills. You lose the vocal a bit in places, but singing never was an easy or effortless thing. Overall it's a very good composition. Nice one.

Man o man its been crazy around here lately with all the new and fine music being posted.  It seems this one fell through the cracks.  I am glad you brought it back up michael, I missed it completly.  I reall like this, on my second listen.  It is lazy, laid-back, but very grooving.  There is a real swagger going on here, its the fading in-out guitars and the way you sing this that gives me that feeling.  Love your precussion here.  I really like the lyrics, thats a really strong point for me here.  I like everything about this song.  It is mixed/recorded very good, everything is just at the right level.  Nice grungy guitar solo.  Its like a lost track from an old Lou Reed record or something, deadly I say.

I agree with the Lou Reed comparison, BB.

Are you doing that faded guitar part using volume control swells (I don't know the technical term for it...!). It works really well.

A cool Lou Reed Type vibe Here!!
Thanks for bumping this. Great listen!!

cheers guys, the effect is a br 600 one, i think its "Gtrpad" or something, i will find it out though, the bongo's and drums were again played live on my iPhone through a line in  8)
2 exams to go then i am free............. until the real world kicks in that is  ;)

i have re mixed this track after playing with the leveling and panning etc, i have re mixed "stolen" with less widdly guitar (i like to just noodle along to my songs but found it to be a little distracting on that one so i added more rhythm  to fill it out) and i have re jigged the vox on "move on" and removed most of the echo and chorus (which i only added to try and "hide" my voice but after the comments on here i think, 'heck maybe i'm not as bad as i think'. i mean, im no vanncad or ORH  :P ) so i have 3 tracks more or less completed, once i finish uni i will be doing a bit more recording with the aim of having a full album of 9/10 songs by xmas.

cheers
