Quote from: oldrottenhead on May 11, 2010, 01:29:15 AMnow "this" had no set bpm it was 120bpm but varied from bar to bar, so the fact that geir has managed to do anything with it truly amazes me.
Now this shocks me, varied bpm...surely this can't be true can it?  How Geir kept up with the shifting bpm is amazing.

Really wonderful, luv the vocals, and guitar, and that dreamy Juno!!  Sounds great guys!

I can believe a great guitarist like Geir can play to probably anything and sound good,., but how the heck did you program the drums to a varied-recorded BPM?  I have enough problems with drum programming as it is, but what the....

Hi...really different sounding and atmospheric...lovely clean sounding song and the vox contrast works really well!!
Somehow soothing and very musical....vocals work  real treat..and compliments somehow..that's the art of making music, bringing ideas together..
great!

On an MBR, across the North Sea, incredible.

It's amazing guys. Who'd have thought that it was Geir doing the Vox? What a turn around.

Forgot to mention - It's on the PiePod.

Thanks for the kind feedback fellow musicians !!!

When James send me this he also send one without the BBC news ... that one I didn't listen to at all .. for some reason the news triggered something in me and I had a feeling that it could turn into a song. The drums was a challenge, James said 120bpm-ish, and yeah it is that. I was in a slow mood so I settled on 60. James also must have a built-in metronome 'cause tho not every measure is 4/4 it does stick quite tight to a 120/60bpm tempo. So I just went hunting for drumpatterns that wasn't too obvious 4/4, so that put together it could be regarded as 3/4 and 5/4 when put together.
I then added some flanger and stereo TAP echo on the drums (Jazz kit) made a mix and added a highly reverbed drumtrack (HARD kit, no other fx) in the final mastering.

Thanx for listening !
