Hairday

Nature on the brink of extinction.
That's great.
How's my hair?

Constitutional reform.
That's great.
Now, what to wear...

State-sanctioned killing
brought to me
in my chair.

Aliens invade and enslave us.
That's great.
Fair is fair.

Fine indie song, I like this, FF!! The sound of bass guitar is excellent, how you recorded it? Via amp or straight into recorder (MBR?)? I have dreamed of that sound...

Ohhhhh Yea, thats the deal Fuzz.  I am loving your sounds here.  The mixing sounds really good, all is clear and in its own space, thats the deal.  Once again, killer lyrics.  I am becoming a fanboy.  Great style.  Really deadly rhythm guitar there.  Its all there, instant classic (weird ending though, was that intentional?).  Great frigging song Fuzz.

I used an acoustic/electric bass plugged directly into the MBR.
I recently bought this bass.  After I tried every acoustic bass in the store, I decided that the least expensive, least good-looking, store brand bass sounded best.

This is the bass:

I think I followed most of your tips except I'm still mixing with headphones as I don't have a stereo.  (Don't want to bother neighbours in the next apartment.  The tap tap tap on my electronic drumkit is enough for them.  Not to mention my belting out ridiculous lyrics with a faux-British accent.  If they ask I'll just say I bought Beatles Rock Band.  ha ha)

There is some junk at the end of this song which I thought I lopped off.
I will remaster and repost at some point.

Bluesberry, you've made me want to go back and remaster all my songs.
