Thanks everyone. Except for being a year older (officially) it's not a bad day at all.

It's funny how we consider ourselves a year older on our birthday but not on any other day of the year. A year older than what? You're not a year older than you were yesterday. You're only a day older, same as the rest of us. You're a year older than you were a year ago, but that's true every day of the year; not just on your birthday. It would be more accurate to say we've had 'x' birthdays than to say we're 'x' years old. 'x' isn't a measure of time; it's a count of milestones.
