You got it Dunny, that was exactly the thought in my mind, to try to Neil Young this one up a bit.  That was part of my thinking here, what would NY do with this song.

I haven't heard the original you talk about, but I get a feeling it is coming through!!!  I did pick up on the Zepplinesque feeling too. ;D ;D

This is a really go listen and I'll be enjoying it again and again.  I envy your lead guitar skill BB. 8)

Let it be known, there is a fountain, that was not made, by the hands of men.

Greeny

Such a good feel. I get the Neil Young and Led Zep vibes too. That solo is a monster... the notes and tone are right in the sweet spot. This is expertly put together. Love it.

p.s. I've never heard it before!

Vanncad

Sounds great to me BB!

I`ve been looking foward to hearing a new tune from you.
This fits your style perfectly (I think you`ve got some `Neil` blood in you man).

I really like the guitar style and the sound you`ve got here. Really loved it when the heavy guitar lead kicked in.

Great contribution to the `fest man!
It ain't pretty being easy.

Okay to Cover

Satchwood

Definitely Zepplin-NeilYoung collab here !!  Cool selection for unplugged fest ~ very original and cool ~ great solo and cool repeated acoustic lick!

Tools: Kramer Strat, LP Deluxe, Avalon 12-string, Ibanez Bass, Yamaha Keyboard, Micro BR, Riffworks, Line 6 UX2, & a little Ableton & Audacity for grins :~)

Gritter

This is well put together...that snare on the one gives it a certain je ne sais quoi. Wicked solo Dave!

Neil Zeppelin for sure.

FuzzFace

This one has a great feel, bro.
I love it.

It's musically sprawling and moody yet kind of detached like you're telling the story but reliving it more than recounting it.

QuoteWho can say something sensible about the origin of this song? Many people believe it is a mediaeval traditional, but problably it was made up somewhere in the 19th century just to sound like one. There are even rumours that it is a complete hoax, brought into being by a young American named Randy Newman, long before he himself outfamed this song and everyone who ever sang it. If this is true, he never claimed the joke, nor the royalties when The Simple Minds took the melody for their mega-selling hitsingle 'Belfast Child'
