Just finished this 5 minutes ago. I had it in mind to do when I saw Electric versions of acoustic songs was ahead in the poll, but just incase it gets overtaken by Frank Zappa, I thought I'd post it anyway. It,s come out sounding like Oasis & I'm doing my best Neil Young impression over it. Hope U like it. Oh and if Electric versions of acoustic songs wins the poll for May, can I include this please?
Recorded on BR600
Guitar - Ibanez Performer
Bass - Rickenbacker copy
Drums - Roland V-lite
Mic - Tandy £9.99 special
Mastered using Audacity & Soundforge
There's a slightly better version down below
I've just deleted this post to redo some vox, (tho still not happy but it's only a bit of fun) & reposted it. Apologies if I deleted your comments in the process. This is the improved version compared to the 1 posted on the Plugged In fest

I've seen Neil a few times, and this doesn't sound any different than something he would do in concert (especially if "Crazy Horse" was in the house).

Love those BIG guitars man.
I think Neil would be proud.

Good stuff BM!
It ain't pretty being easy.

Okay to Cover

First, I'll start off by saying that I am NOT a fan of Neil Young...

But this is awesome! I think it would have been more interesting if you hadn't tried to imitate Young vocally, and used your own voice, a very good voice judging from the other stuff you posted. But this was definitely a killer cover!

Sweet ass cover. Cheap mic huh? Works like a champ in my book. Top shelf playing on this.

First, I'll start off by saying that I am a HUGE fan of Neil Young... ::)  ;)   ;D

And I think this is fan-flippping-hehehe-bloody-hell-man-tastic.  Great Neil Young vibe going on here.  We had ourselves a Neil Young Fest last summer (our second "fest" if I remember right - check the festivals page if you want to hear any stuff we all did), this would have fit in there perfect.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Thanks everybody for the feedback. Very constructive & very flattering. Cheers my friends. It was abit of an experiment. I shall seriously consider a version using my own voice. Yeah that Tandy mic does the job at this level, mainly due to the COSM effects on the BR600.

Will do Dan. Thanks for comment. I'm in 2minds whether to do a Jethro Tull track or the theme tune from The Wicker Man... Ooops me & my big mouth lol

Love it John.  Really impressed with the BIG guitar sound.

BTW - my vote is for the Tull track.
