This is superb Sandy, not familiar with the original, will have to look it up now!

What MBR drum pattern is that, doesn't sound familiar to me, but they sound like real drums?

It's a POP beat - #140 on the Hard kit.

The Youtube version (with slightly different lyrics) was recorded live on the Vancouver cable show Soundproof. The studio version with the lyrics I used (which I could figure out) can be heard here:

QuoteAre those MBR drums, or were you hitting the skins?

All MBR drumming except the hand claps.

Amazing! You've got those MBR drums mastered, Grits.

I've already downloaded it, but after hearing it on iLike and YouTube, and now listening to yours again, I can say with confidence that I actually prefer your version which f*cking rules!!

This is the perfect antidote to that awful 'Kokomo' by the Beach Boys! I f*cking love it. Those hand claps make it for me, but the whole thing is so cool. I dig it big time. Caught it late, but better late than never...

Great stuff Sandy, never heard of Art Bergmann so thanks for the insight into the Canadian punk scene. Great track and I love the production - the hand claps are a great touch and the acoustic sounds great. Vox are excellent, I love the way you double up the parts with cool harmonies. Excellent stuff all round.

Cheers,

Nigel
