Kind of a Wild West fantasy that sprang from the play on words in the title. There's a strange flute intro that I acquired from a sound fx site. It reminded me of the old David Carradine 'Kung Fu' TV show. There are a couple of Morricone references stitched into it as well.

All the music is played by me and recorded on the MBR (guitars, bass, vocals, and some Doors-influenced organ).

Happy Friday, and have a great weekend! The Brits have a public holiday on Monday, and I'm playing an outdoor gig, so lets hope the sun shines!  :)

Shimmersville, tele-twang-tastic. Loved the cheeky intro, sets the scene. Now, where are my spurs...

    enjoy your gig, Green-one.

I'm playing in a town in Surrey, on an open air stage. So I just hope it's not raining! And get this - my 30 minute slot is split into two parts so that they can announce the winner of the Town Crier competition, lol. Bizarre.

I don't want to make the time and place public on here, but if anyone is interested in the details, please PM me.

Chicken. Are you afraid all the Tim Green stalkers are going to come out of the woodwork?

The intro was definitely Kungfu meets "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly". The music evolved quite nicely through from the beginning. It started out very old school and took on a Greeny life of it's own as it built momentum. What a fantastic transition, I didn't see it coming, I just sort of realized that this is a modern day rocking western, then the outro went back to the roots of the song..

Awesome.

You must have had a great time making this one, Tim. The Doors organ and sound effects really spiced up the overall sound.

I liked how the song title threw me off. I was expecting something more stripped down, but instead it was a more complexly(Is that a word?) written and produced song with an excellent vibe to it! Sweet!

Marvelous job!

great ideas, great song, great production! (great spagettti western touch too, in the beginning)

one little thing, tho, if you don't mind the feedback.. lyrically, I love the whole conceit, but I think the end of the chorus is a little of an anticlimax- something about listening for the 'hooves of love"? As a listener I wanted a bigger lyrical payoff there... maybe experiment with making that great title phrase 'the lonest ranger' be the end of the chorus line? it'd make for a stronger song, perhaps... just a thought!
