Hey Mav, i like your vocals on this tune better than when i did a take way back when.!  You got a unique grunge style voice with plenty of raw emotion ~ keep singing!

Sorry, I'm just learning this stuff... and it's a lot harder to attempt to sing one of your own lyrics because you don't know what it should sound like. With doing cover songs, at least you have an idea what it should sound like.

No need to apologize for learning, Mav. I've listened to your first recording and you have improved a lot. Just keep at it, and you will continue to develop your vocal skills and keep improving over time. Vocals are all about control and presentation which just requires practice and that's it.

Keep it going, man!

Quote from: Ted on April 29, 2010, 05:33:58 PMAs for the vocals, I think you've fallen into the insecure singer trap:  Too much reverb.

I agree.

I used to do that a lot....

"Anything to act as a cover for Vocals that I percieved to be bad"

This is a Great Vocal delivery!

But I cant make out a word..... because of the reverb.
It is also Hiding all the instruments.

Also...

If you are having trouble with a certain Key, and find your are hitting blocks, why not start at a Lower one?

I tried to sing on Satch's "Viking cover" in a pitch to high for me....  Messed me right up, but it was a lesson for me. Lol:)

Great stuff Mav

Thanks for your support OsCKilO.
But to be honest, I don't think I'm intentionally adding too much reverb to hide my voice... I just like the way it sounds. I'll mess with it, try to make everything easier to hear.

Here's another attempt... kind of for fun. Is this what you were talking about when you said speaking in your ear? lol... I just threw that into a couple parts of the song, once again for fun.
