Oldrottenhead

get a stereo lead plug it into yer pcs head phone socket or line out socket on your pc.
then plug lead into line in/mic socket on your br.
press input on the br and select lin/track 3, by default it will record to tracks 1 an 2 and pan them left to right to give a stereo recording. stick your headphones on in your br and play the mp3 on yer pc and you should hear the mp3 if you have connected it to the correct socket on your pc mess about with the levels till yer happy. then when your happy press record as i say it will highlight tracks one and 2 press play on your br and play the mp3 and record it.
you can also do it using the software on articles and tutorial page but i havent tried that yet.

Hi,
I had a very similar questions last week, look at the Subject:
How to download an MP3 backtrack and use it in your recording ?
.
I tried the first method (copying the .mp3 to the /MP3 directory and using the Import function and it worked fine.
Let me know if it doesn't work for you
