This song is an instrumental duo DJ / Guitar, with added vocals of danieldesete recorded on micro br.
I recorded all guitar sounds through micro br. I mixed all the tracks (vocals of danieldesete and music made by the DJ Horst Appers Fuckers and me) on Audacity.

Here, if you are interested, I put the post I made on my blog about this song :

New song "Hendrixian Mood: musical development and construction
Recycling, with some developments, note first published on this blog in August 2009 ... on a rehearsal with a friend DJ Turntablist: Horst appers Fuckers.
I ran the audio tracks recorded our jam sessions on computer to make a song.

1. The song and the corresponding video:
"Hendrixian Mood", is also on my Myspace page called "Hendrixian scratches.
Here is the video I made to accompany the music, inspired by the brilliant "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Terry Gilliam (hallucinations, delusions, more or less) and" The Blair Witch Project "(the forest and shot to a subjective camera, with an atmosphere of increasingly distressing and harmful).

2. Presentation of musicians protagonists ...
My friend DJ-turntablist mentioned above ( http://www.myspace.com/horsetapper39sfuckers ) plays in a rock band Electro Garage Trash with a bassist ( http://www.myspace.com/borisshotkewitz ), and has long formed a trio with the same bassist and a guitarist
( http://www.myspace.com/hangmi).
On top of its group, it is suggested that the DJ plays a "evil drum machine", a phrase that I find particularly appropriate: the groove that manages to produce are "hell"!
One of the previous songs from this musical collaboration is on my Myspace page under the title "Jam Sessions with Horst appers Fuckers," and I called "Ghost Elvis" (without approval from my sidekick ...) . These are obviously the samples of the voice of Elvis Presley used to give the title to this piece, the result of an improvisation built on the basis of the rhythms and structure developed by Horst appers Fuckers.

3. Method of work and musical composition
The working method is a bit new to me, in the sense that I've never played with a turntablist DJ.
The method followed by Horst appers Fuckers is the following:
1. The pace at first. These choices are offered by the DJ from his bank of sounds and samples (in the form of records or sound files), and obviously there are exchanges between us at this stage of selection of samples and sounds.
Choice of sample battery, conversion and customization of tempo, color musical drum sounds (more or less saturated, change of severe acute ,...)
2. For I am the guitarist, his choice of (clear or saturated), tone that I use to play.
This choice of guitar sound is through my boss micro br recorder nomad
used as a preamp and as a box of belongings before the mixer, with:
simulation of tube amp with a popping sound blues, simulation speakers are large, open, a number of effects (reverb, delay, etc. ...)
3. We play and we improvise together to find, experiment with ideas, rhythms, riffs, culminating in a groove running, guitar / sample more personal Sebastien scratches, definitely the aptly named "evil drum machine" ...

4. The piece:
- Instrumental, no singing
- Structure A / B / A / B, ie in the format song, verse / chorus
- General idea of morcaeu: dialogue guitar / DJ scratches on the rhythmic foundation built by the DJ, with improvisation / free assistance of DJ and guitarist
- Electric guitar, riff "modulating", in that it runs on the basis of melodic-rhythmic patterns more or less variable but based on E minor (part A)
- Willingness to articulate passage with a riff rock heartfelt (Part A) with a passage more "melodic" '(Part B)
- Riff played with finger picking at the Mark Knopfler
- However, the guitar, a musical line that tries to follow those of Hendrix, hence the name "Hendrixian Mood" I gave the song. Part A is from this point of view, quite faithful to this line (on the grounds included Voodoo Chile in particular). Part B, the guitar, without it being deliberately made more New Wave to the Simple Minds ...

4. Mixing:
I got the audio files stored on the computer, and plugged directly into the mixer.
It remained to assemble the two parts of songs that were the result of repetition between us.
The free software Audacity has been of great help. The transitions between the two parties have been articulated by the insertion of a sample of guitar and drums I really enjoy.

Greeny

I like this a lot. It's experimental, but with a hell of a groove. Love the stuttering guitar parts. It gets nice and psychedelic in places too. Great stuff.

Ted

Maximum coolness.

The video is like The Blair Witch Project on acid.

Is there somewhere I can download this? This song wants to be on my piePod!

Fantastic, very cleverly done and great sounds. This creates an excellent mood and all the sampling and scratches/cut ups are very cleverly done. Thanks for the great explanation of your approach as well, it was very interesting. More please!
