I took a Daniel Johnston song, a real beautiful song from the incredible album "1990" The original version is mainly just his voice and piano.  It seemed to be a good one to punk up a bit.  This is an all microBR production.  I got one in, I have to try to get at least one in for every festival.  I thought I would give a nod to the synth punk guys like Gary Numan and all that by putting a synth solo at the outro.  My favorite type of punk was the synth punk stuff.

Kim was listening in while I was playing this, she said it sounds like Jim Morrison went punk. I've got to check out the original now. I'm dying to know where this version came from. Dave, I dig what you got going on here.

Great driving rhythm. Great overall production. I enjoyed the listen.

I was sure I saw yesterday a post where you entered the Punkfest (I tried find it in original songs, but it is here...)

Anyway, this really rocks! I listened at first the original Piano/Voice song in YouTube (wasn't familiar with it) and it is a very good tune. You've got an excellent view on this! I like the arrangement. Guitar sound is 'tuned' to punk sound. The keyboard part in the end reminds me a slight new wave vibe! This is quality, Dave!!!
