Cool!!!

I'm gonna buy some recorders now!

Are you using a Tenor one in there somewhere?

And what would you recommend?

I have been after this sound for ages!!

Gentle Giant anyone?  It's lovely as it is--in spite of my prog-addled brain that expects distorted bass and drums to kick in.

Recorders?  I was under the delusion that this was all synth, which makes this all the more impressive to me.

What a great, great band until they went all new wavey (although I admit to liking 'Convenience" during that period).

Not to get all threadjacky or anything, but anyone unfamiliar with Gentle Giant's madrigal inclinations would wonder what the video you posted had to do with lemgandi's pleasant piece performed on recorders.

So I'm compelled, nay, forced to put up another video demonstrating the recorder connection:

That was great! Short but sweet. I was just getting into it when it ended. It would make a great intro to a big prog-rock classic!

Ooh, happy to have the thread hijacked.  Actually, I'm a Gentle Giant phan. I remember listening to _Free_Hand_ in high school and learning the recorder part from "On Reflection" by ear. Fun times!

Ted

Well, you almost took the fun out of threadjacking.  Now you're almost guaranteed to get roped into someone's prog collaboration.
