That's awesome oldrottenhead, that's way too cool. Nevermet rocks. Added to my playlist.

"Just some guys that have never met
doing their thing on the internet."

To complete this I added Mr. Scar whistle and tried to make the overall recording more balanced.

Good work, Nevermet team!  ;D

Pedro

If everyone is ok with it, I'm going to put it on the 2nd part of the "Recording with Micro BR" video series at youtube.

This is awesome, I can't stop listening to it.

i've added some keyboard and double tracked the lead vocal, don't know whether ive created a wall of sound or whether its a couple of ingredients too much and spoils it completely.
also it sounds better through my headphones than it does through speakers. so maybe it could be mixed better.

That is cool, although it creates a bit more confusion in the song. We should re-record this, but instead of using MP3 we would use the multitrack files themselves. It would sound way better at the end.

yes, these collaborations suffer from muddy mix

Oldrottenhead

#28
it does suffer from a muddy mix, however ive been listening to all versions posted, on my new creative zen and the last posted  version is my favourite , despite the muddy mix it still has tons of energy.

an idea for future projects could be that when people post a new version they also post a copy/s of the part/s they have added alongside in mp3 format.

obviously syncing each part may be a prob, but with programmes like cubase you could get everything in order and mix it there. unless there is another way of doing this like uploading a song folder but might be too much data.

Absolutely, great idea. That would be cool, and then in the end, people would all mix their versions with all the parts contributed and we would choose the better mix. That would be cool.

The tracks added must only begin at the same time that the original tracks. They could be smaller, but if they begin at the same time as the original, synchronization is easy in Cubase, Adobe Audition, etc...
