Not all PUNK tunes are required to be snotty and/or nasty...

Here's a punk song of peace, equal rights and justice.

The chorus is taken from a reggae song written by Bunny Wailer (original memeber of the Wailers).

My version is a cover of Stiff Little Fingers who punked it up and wrote their own verses.

Only two chords...but the most fun I've ever had with only two chords!

Thanks for your ears,

You Roots!

Sandy.

i loved stiff little fingers inflammable material was one of the pivotal albums in my life that probably made me pick up a guitar, i'm ashamed to say i'm not familiar with this one, but i am loving this, in britain punk and reggae really went hand in hand, i'm not sure if that was the case across the pond.
but hats off to you again sandy, i'll need to youtube the stiffies version.

another reason i'm surprised i dont know it , is that a good friend has an slf tribute band called hanx, ive saw them many a time, maybe they dont do that in their setlist.

im babbling now. sober too. i'll shut up now.

ORH had it spot on, there was a lot of common ground between punk and reggae in the late 70s, especially in the UK (with Rock Against Racism). Great job here Sandy, a lot of fun with two chords - that really is the punk ideal! Great bass playing going on there and I love the punk guitar solo, spot on with just a few notes. Excellent vox as well, this is fantastic!

Great Punkfest entry, love it.

cheers,
