Thanks everyone for the warm welcome, it is a real buzz to get a reaction. I was definitely aiming for a Ramones/Sex pistols feel when I did this little tune.  And thanks Gritter for introducing me to the Queen Haters, I don't know how they managed to pass me by for this long. Keep on rockin'!

They were not an actual band. This is their only song. This is from SCTV, a Canadian comedy show. Though the comedians, Martin Short - vocals; Eugene Levy - lead guitar; Andrea Martin - rhythm guitar; Joe Flaherty - bass; John Candy - drums all really played and sung on it.

Oh, this is just class :)

Big smile on my face, puts me right back in the 6th Form Centre in 1979-80 (although I hated this sort of stuff at the time :D).

And mebbe the solo is long for the punk-purist, but who cares? It rocks...

Man, that sure WAS PUNK.  No doubts here.  You captured the spirit and the sound perrrrrrfectly.  If there was one of them smiley symbols for a head butt, I'd have pasted a dozen onto these comments.

Absol-f*ck8n-fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Welcome to the site, we are in for a real treat listening to your tunes.  I love that guitar solo, it is perfect, old rock and roll vibe like Chuck Berry, which is perfect for punk.  This is a thing of beauty.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

I missed this one Kevin, so I'm glad to bump it. It's definitley punk, I love the chugging guitars and I think the solo is great, definitely not too over the top for punk. Sounds like a Buzzcocks solo to me with a bit of Steve Jones at the end. Some nice chord changes in there. Great sound, nice first post - what did you record it on?

Cheers,

Nigel
