Written and recorded last summer. This is actually a morphing song (a special kind of collaboration.) I originally recorded this song at around 145 bpm but increased it to 180+ and it really makes a difference. My band just recently added this to our set.

Also, I thought about calling this "pushing up daisies" instead. What do you think. Which title works better?

v1
I met you in the garden
Your place of peaceful bliss
We shared that lovely moment
We shared our first kiss

But then your look of love
Faded into the evening sky
Somehow I think I knew
That was a kiss goodbye

ch:
You surely will pay
All your debts in hell
You never really liked me
Until you bid farewell

You took my heart and kidneys
Sold them down in Mexico
Buried me in the garden
Buried me down below

v2
You like to sit and watch
By your garden wall
As your pretty flowers
Grow to be so tall

Now I'm pushing up daisies
How pretty will they be?
When you see the flowers
Will you think of me?

Awesome melodic punk song, Pigfarmer! Sad and beautiful lyrics. The Flower Garden is a good name. I could imagine Joey Ramone (RIP) singing this...

The high tempo really works.  I have a confession . . . I have never played (rhythm) guitar faster than 135 bpm, I think, I'm not even sure I can do it without blowing chord changes.  Hmmmm . . . gotta go try.  Nice one!

Hey, that really works like that, nice one...

I grew up with punk in the UK, but never really got off on it (I was moving from the Bee Gees through ELO to Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin)... but looking back there were some GREAT punk singles... and this has that same vibe :)
