How great it is to have no work (apart from the bankruptcy and repossession) , but at least I can catch up a bit on the forum. Here's a Uke tune that requires physiotherapy after you've played it a few times. It's a real tendon ripper!

Love it! Ukuleles are so cool. Gotta get me one.

Question: Do you strum with your fingers or use a pick of some sort? When I was about 13 or 14 (circa 1969), I was in a ukulele band at school and we played them with a thick felt pick which came with the ukuleles (purchased through the school). Is that what's normally used to strum a ukulele?

Many thanks! (My right hand still hurts!) To 64, I use only my fingers to play the Uke, including nails that come with the guitar playing. In this one, there is a flamenco-like roll every bar.

It makes my tendons ache just to hear that again! It's in the book 'Famous ukulele solos and duets' by John King if anyone wants to play it.

I often watch my good mate play his uke, and am always amazed at the speed of his strumming.

I cant even strum my guitars at any consistant speed, so with the ultra thin neck on his uke as well I have no chance....

So I do appreciate the skill that it takes to play like this, and to come out with a tune as good as this on the other end, all I can say is
Very very Nice Work.
