Very nice...never knew this song at all...sounds like something Orbison would do as well...either way, great job!  Nice production, great vocals, well done :)

Actually, it is an Elvis song. He recorded it in 1962 for his "Pot Luck" album. But Terry Stafford had the big hit with it (at least in North America) in 1964. His version peaked at #3 in the Billboard charts. The song was written for Elvis by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman.

I used to have a 45 of the Terry Stafford hit. I don't think I've heard the Elvis original.

Anyway, the fenderbender version sounds great too. The only thing missing is the female "ooo ooo" backing from the Terry Stafford version. That was a memorable part of the song for me.
