...and another bump ...
Why?

...beause it is for me the most incredible fantastic and original song in SC , quite simply
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Wow, it's been 10 years since we've heard this. Beautifully written, arranged, and performed. Don't think I've ever gone over about 30 tracks or so. Mixing 60 would put me in an asylum for sure. Well done!
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

This is quite an epic Nigel and brilliant arranging/mixing. Every instrument & track (60 of 'em???) perfectly placed in its own space. A beautiful song, well done.

Always nice to pop into the Demoiselle D'Ys for a quick pint / catch-up.

A true Songcrafter classic. Must be the most listened to / bumped / commented track on here by now...

Should I admit that I have this half rebuilt in my DAW by picking apart all the backup files I have? I am trying to remix it/add to it, because I can tell that it is from an era when my hearing was getting bad. Now I have hearing aids and really good monitors there is just too much harshness and high end for my liking.

Did I also mention I get far too obsessed with the detail of things...... :-\

Don't think I've ever heard this...
Saw it getting bumped yesterday...
Read some of the comments...
Just finished work, and...

... I've listened (several times) and read all the comments.

Can't see what all the fuss is about!!

Nah, it's fab.

I can hear what you're talking about here:

Don't lose too much high end, though. It's nowhere near as bad as, say, the Scorpions remasters from a couple of years back.

The thing that would make me go back would be that distortion at 2:30 (just before the amazing lead break) - I'd really want to fix that.

Maybe not explicitly... not in the last 10 minutes or so... LOL

I think I can safely say, though, that I believe you are officially more obsessed with these details than I am!!

eg, you actually have Adam T7V monitors, I just have them on a wishlist at some interweb emporium where I buy stuff... (I nearly ordered them this morning!)

Anyways, pretty bluddy amazing track - I know exactly what it took to achieve this on an MBR: the forward planning, the arranging in the dark, the "oh sh1t, why didn't I notice that abomination before?!?!?! Now I've got to go back two song files if I want to fix it..."

Looking forward to hearing the remix.

I've just checked - I first commented on this 10 years ago.  Ten years! It doesn't seem possible.   I even remember where I was at the time I was commenting - in a hotel room somewhere near Trafford Park in Manchester.  I loved it than and I still do.
