I like this. I'm very fond of the Beatles, but I've never been brave enough to try to cover one. You've done a good job there :)

Don't worry about the singing - you've got everything you need there, just more experience/practice I'm guessing.

The "tuning" thing, that feeling the need to fight with it while you're singing, will become second-nature if you keep at it. Don't ignore that side of it, but try and get your head to concentrate on "performing" the song, acting it out, making it yours. You're already doing this naturally. But if you concentrate on this side more, getting the emotion/message across, tuning often seems to sort itself out on auto-pilot then!

I find Beatles songs particularly difficult to "perform", maybe because they're so iconic. I either try to imitate the original or go off at some tangent... I usually get stuck somewhere in the middle and end up just "singing the notes".

I feel on this one that you've managed to break out of that - we can hear your personality, not the original, and we also feel like you mean it, which is quite a result on a song so well known :)

EDIT: I just realised I've got a couple of tips I was given years ago over keeping the voice "tuneful". 1) You need breath to make a note - always make sure there's a good supply in the lungs when you're singing. Practice filling your lungs from the lower part of your chest, not just taking shallow breaths like we do most of the time, and then holding a long note until you can't hold any more. With a bigger column of air you sound more powerful, even on softer stuff, you feel more confident, and your voice holds the pitch better on the "tighter" notes and vowels.
2) Imagine your voice is coming out of the top of your head... it stops your voice going flat. I don't know why/how this works, but it does for me.
3) "Smile" when you're singing - it's related to the breath thing - making a smiling mouth while you're talking/singing tends to open your mouth and throat more... gives a better column of air, makes the notes "sweeter", more open... and it seems to stop you going flat.

Practice these things separately so that you get used to doing them automatically, and then when you perform a song, trust that they're happening and concentrate instead on the performance.

You might already know some/all of these... but I felt moved to write them down because I can hear what your voice is doing already, and that if you wanted to put the effort in (it is hard work!), you could do some wonders with it  :)

By the way... is the drumming you as well??! If so, I'm very jealous :D

Anyway, really good job... (Has she heard it yet? I hope she was impressed...)

Very nicely done.  This is a pro production and a very good job.  I find your singing to be pretty damn good.  A bit of practice and you will be a very good singer.  Nice overall production here.
