Hey everyone, thanks for the tremendous response. :)  I'll post up a few more soon.

ORH, I recorded this through my MBR's built in condenser mic.  I was in MP3 mode @ 192 kbps.  I had to put it in the far corner of the garage away from the drum kit with SNS down to about -4 or -5 to avoid distorting the mix.  I also have one of those gel shock sleeves that probably helped the MBR not to rattle or vibrate. It was sitting on a shelf about 4 feet off the ground, propped up at an angle facing the mains.  Input volume was set at 90.  I've got a 1 GB memory card in my MBR and I just press record and let it run the whole 3 or 4 hours practice, warts and all.  I then export the MP3 file to my computer and then back to my MBR in MASTERING mode to master the file.  I used P04 Live Mix preset to master this particular session.  Track levels were set to 100.  Once mastering was complete, I exported the mastered song to MP3 @ 192 kbps.  Put it back on my computer and used Audacity to edit the long 3 hour mp3 file into individual mp3 files w/ID3 tags, etc..

This was one of the first times I used my MBR to record live.  After an initial sound check with the drums and guitar at full volume, I got the SNS and input volume somewhere close to acceptable levels.  With the patience of my fellow band members, I spent 3 or 4 tries recording and playing back and adjusting SNS and input volume while monitoring through earbuds.  Every room is different and I cannot stress how important it is to take the time to do this to achieve decent results.  I was mainly concerned with distortion and overdriving the mix.

Thanks again for taking the time to listen!

This is really exciting! Please post more stuff.
I love live band recordings....
I was/and still am interested in recording in the mp3 mode.
But, all of my past experiences have been disappointments.
I have temporarily given up on attempting it, and just recording
the output of our soundboard.
This is something I need to get back to though....I want to be
able to record us while we are playing a gig live!
