this is the third song today that ive written a lyric for yet another song from  the posc album entitled "sand". the music was created by roberto (giorgo) maffione and alfredo (john) de pietra POSC. with wee Giacomo Higgins singing over the top of it. i need to explain a bit about this one. it's another one about the process  i go through when coming up with a lyric for a piece of music i love. i cant explain how the words come  other than i lose myself in the music and whatever happens to be in my head at the particular time i write and record the lyric plays it's part in the process. this ones for nelson (you where in my head at the time). check your messages nelson.
it's called "the flow" cos that is how the words come.

update here are the lyrics alfredo

like a leaf in the wind
just blowing along
with no direction
1 dont know where i am going
i am quite taken by the flow
so lets just wait and see
where its gonna go

whats round the corner
what lays ahead
anticipation you knowit
makes things interesting
i close my eyes
and open up
to all the sounds that come
into my view

just go with the flow
see where it takes you
theres no need to worry
when youre lost in rhythm
get with the beat
do what your heart tells you
no need to think
just let it happen

like a leaf in the wind
just blowing along
with no direction
1 dont know where i am going
i am quite taken by the flow
so lets just wait and see
where its gonna go
where its gonna go
so lets just wait and see
where its gonna go
i dont know
just dont know
where its gonna go
where are we gonna go
whit goes oan in ma heid

What a cool Tony Bennet jazz feel. Nice tune, and great vocals, as always, Jim.

Very cool.  8)

Alfredo: What did you use for the brass sounds? I like it. The guitar sounds great too. Did you use a VG-99 model?

Jim you are a piece of work... Point taken. Just go with the flow.
by the way I can personally account for the gobblydygook process. On the few occasions that I complete a musical arrangement before I write the lyrics, I create the basic flow but I have to listen to it over and over, until the music provides me with the actual flow and the lyrics.
Then it's remove gobblydygook and insert lyrics.  lol
Not nearly as fast as you do! By the way those guys "POSC" are pretty damn good.
I'm thinking about letting a couple of the bands on the site take a crack at the music for one of my songs and see how it goes.
Well thanks buddy, if I get stuck, I'll definitely holla at you.

Again, I'm really glad, and even surprised, about the empathy between Jim's music experience and ours, but we all know, it's the magic of music: it has no barriers!  :)

As in the previous collaborations, this time too Jim gives me the sensation to have been part of our musical project since...always!

Roberto and me want also thank you all for your kind words, we are glad to share our music with you all, we respect your musical knowledge and your musical ideas!

64gtrs: for the guitar, I used one of the many, many patches of Roland GT-Pro (at that time I hadn't the VG-99 yet). For the final flugelhorn and electic piano solos I've used instead my Godin connected to my old Roland GR-30 guitar synth.

And...no, I don't work for Roland...  ;D

Ha Ha  Definitely meant, I find the speed in which you come up with your lyrical Gems, absolutely remarkable.  By the way you remind me of Sting, when you sing on this and "Sand Pasta".  You have a really expressive voice as well.
I will write something for that voice one day. lol

i'd love to do the same for you one day too nelson.
i see myself more as a lyricist than a singer, and i always get the biggest kicks hearing others sing my words. hearing some of them on the tribute fest has been a real treat.
