Something about this (maybe the synth horns) reminds me of some of the modern music out of Africa to which I listen--except for the fact that I understand the language here.

"60s Days"
Words by oldrottenhead. Music by Roberto Maffione.

When I was young
Nothin' seemed to matter
The future just didn't exist
I'd pass my time from day to day
Just living for the present

I felt immortal
I knew it all
You couldn't tell me any differently
I had no doubts
My life was full of certainties
That's different now

Reckless and carefree
I wish I was that now
Wish I was that now
Wish I was that now
Wish I was that now
Wish I was that now

When I was young
Nothin' seemed to matter
The future just didn't exist
I'd pass my time from day to day
Just living for the present

I felt immortal
I knew it all
You couldn't tell me any differently
I had no doubts
My life was full of certainties
That's different now

What makes this collaboration absolutely GREAT for me is the ability, or maybe better, the skill, or talent, of James to put his lyrics and his voice in our music in an absolutely natural way.

In other words, it seems to me that our music was waiting for Jim!!!  :D

To be more precise, the music is not by me; it's by Roberto Maffione, my life-long musical partner. In his music, I play the guitar (and guitar synth: for instance the organ solo is...me on the guitar  ;D) parts. Roberto too is enthusiast about Jim's voice and lyrics. Thanks everybody for the kind comments!

Nice job here ORH. As Alfstone said, the lyrics fit the feel of the music well and as always your singing fits the music like a glove.

cheers,

Wow the is outstanding. Who are these guys, the music is off the charts.
Jim did you say you wrote this today? Man you did one hell of a job.
Is the rest of their cd this good?
Jim you are the wizard of words.
Keep it up, my friends.
