Well, I finally managed to get something together for this excellent fest. There are so many songs I love that I didn't want to murder by aping the way they are played that I decided to use my new toy, the Kaossilator Pro, to take a very different approach. Trouble is, it turned out really hard, because many of the songs I tried didn't translate to this medium (sorry Geir!). So I took one of my most favourite, trippy songs from the site and had a chilled out experience on the KPro.

I don't know what you will make of this, but if it makes you listen to the original of "Order Lilly Q" then my electronic mangling has not been in vain.

Cheers,

Nigel

Wow! I love that big fat synth bass sound. This is a really cool cover. And it's nice to hear something with no guitars in it for a change. Not that I have anything against the guitar -- it's my main instrument afterall. But it's refreshing to hear a song without it. I still think we should have a festival with no guitars. It would make an interesting challenge.

So, how does the Kaossilator Pro compare to the regular Kaossilator? It sure sounds good.

Wow! This sounds completely pro... and knowing the background makes it even more special.  I love how it pauses and then ramps back up right after 'topsy, turvy wonderland'.  Great tribute and great demo of the kossalator too.

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

This is so fresh sounding and ALIVE.  It sounds like you used a whole synth for this.  Your voice is perfect, it meshes with the synth sounds perfect.  Imagine having 5 guys with just kaoss units all standing in a circle facing in, playing some kind of majestic synth soundscape.  Really cool Nigel.
