I missed this somewhere along the way, so I'm glad it got bumped. Beautiful, flawless folk. Such clarity on the guitar and vocal. Magic! You should be wowing open mic audiences with quality performances like this.

Ditto thanks to Kevin for bumping this one which I'd missed too.

Beautiful song, clean and lovely guitar picking and recording.  And the vox are first rate.  An altogether well written, performed, and recorded lovely song.

Thanks for sharing.

BUMP!

Just because I finally discovered this mysterious song that was playing in my mp3 was Rob's!

In fact, at least a handful of Rob's songs should be bumped!

EDIT your guitar playing is flawless, but your voice is simply superlative!

Great bump, DSS - I've loved this song since the first time I heard it (after Rob first posted his cover) - meticulous playing, and such clean and crisp vocals.

A beautiful song performed superbly! The chorus makes me think of my ancestors who left County Clare toward the end of the Great Famine and crossed the Atlantic to begin a new life in a strange new land. It is indeed a long, long way from Clare to here.
