Such complexity and depth. Sounds like you have a whole bunch of seesion musicians working on this, BB! Fantastic job. Wow.

Deep, heavy and layered, great Job Dave, I love your take on this song. This is incredibly well produced. That killer solo comes in, but the bass line is right there hold its own. Pure ear candy. I love the keys on this too.

Thanks good people.  I got really inspired once I decided to try this song, I kept listening to the Geir original, and as has been mentioned by others, I became insprired to try my damnest to make this the best I could make it (but not to do a carbon copy, I couldn't do that if I wanted to).  And once I started working on it, I couldn't stop, it was as if I was possessed by the Huldra, I was in the zone.  I started Thursday night and was posting it Saturday night.  It was like a mad blur of Geirs voice in my ears, red ale and the music of the Huldra.  I was lucky in that my wife was working evening shift all weekend, and I had Friday off work, so I had the time to devote to this mad endevour.  My son was happy playing his Wii most of the time, so we were in the zone the both of us, the call of the Huldra was loud and deep my friends.  I just love getting lost in music like that, when you have some real quality time (once in a long while it happens) to just make music without too much of life getting in the way.  Time to tinker and layer and paint with sound (thats what it feels like sometimes).  I look back on this as a magical weekend.  Thanks for the inspiration Geir.

Funny about the lyrics, I didn't realize that Geir had posted them, so did the best I could listening through Geirs accent to catch them all, I didn't do too bad, but it is funny to compare the lyrics I came up with with Geirs original lyrics (as found here:https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=3620.msg38108#msg38108).  Some of the things I heard are funny compared to what Geir actually sang.

re: "Geir Fest"
I think there is a reason for that. Quite the compliment.
On the surface this is a pretty simply made cover, but I'm digging the atmosphere you have given this. There is more to it than on first inspection and it builds nicely. You've done good, kid.

Doing a fine job of playing the one man band and the arrangement keeps it interesting. I like the assortment of sounds.

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.
