Here you go Geir, this one's for you.  I consider you a big influence and a good cyber friend.  When I first heard this song I was blown away.  It came from some silly banter we had over a crazy thread, and you went and wrote this monster folk-prog song.  I tried to keep the prog alive on my version.  I had a hard time hearing all the words, so I improvised a bit.  And the word Huldra, I tried to pronounce it as close as I could get.  I made sure to put in some nice guitar solos, just the way you like it Geir.  One of my favorite songs from this site.  Keep on rocking Geir.

Oh, yeah Dave!! True prog genius that we are accustomed to expect from you. I love how you put this in a world of deep fantasy, but yet managed to maintain the bluesy rock/prog format.

Well done, bro - I love it!!

And of course I'll have to say:

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!

Or even better:

"Now where did I put my stream of thought. But hey, fc*K it!!!!!!! -Mokbul"

WOW Dave !!!!!!!!!!

I am stunned !

This is fantastic!! You sure did pick a song that fits your style and did a marvelous job on making it your own ...

Can't believe all the work you must have put into this!! Just getting all the lyrics must have been a challenge!!! And I must admit, it can't have been easy to sing either, cause there are parts where there are too many word .. or too few ... (just the way I write :D ) but you got it all perfect Dave and what a great performance !!! And yes you even got "Huldra" right !!!

All the great keyboard parts ..piano, organ, pads... and that bass is really great work !!..

And of course the icing of the cake those sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet solos  ...'

Thank you Dave !!!!

Going for my third listen now !!!

Wow, I thought about doing this one, as I love the original but decided very quickly I couldn't do it justice. Dave, you did a GREAT job! I love the way you have used the keyboards here, this gives it a really proggy feel, quite different to the original. The vox are great as well. The guitar parts are very cleverly done. Great version of a fabulous song.

The prog is very much alive!!

Cheers,

Nigel
