I've recently refloated the trem and got some mellower pickups for one of my strats (a Fiesta red )... It begs to be played like this, so I've temporarily laid aside my usual Rory/SRV/Jimi/etc blues-rock roots and have been heading down this path for the last few weeks - I've even re-acquired the Shadows Golden Greats on CD... After 30 odd years I finally feel like I'm starting to get some sort of control over a wang-bar and getting that sound...
