Hello there everyone!

It's been forever since I've posted.  I only posted one musical piece called "bluesy man" and was very happy with the feedback and suggestions.

This time, my buddy (FreddyBoyo) and I gathered this past week-end to record a few tunes including this one:
FISTS OF GLORY
I did the singing, he did the bass, I played the guitar.
We had a ball!!!

Hope you enjoy.  The end stops a bit quickly but overall, we were happy with the result and mostly, we totally enjoyed ouselves.
The BR is a totally awesome tool for music lovers!!!

Please give feedback good or bad!

Cheers to you all,
Rockatron (good to be back)

here are the lirics:

It was 1966,
Where Trix are for kids
And
Thunder sold the lightning,

Truth or lies,
in the sky
There he was,
slashing his eyes
In the pain,
he survived

Living here

He emerged from within,
And created, therefore, the ultimate rotting sin.

Where is the beast lurking?
Who is the Messiah?
You or him?
Choose yo' weapon, yo'a killa!

Song sound dangerous....
The first grunting vocals I hear recorded with a BR.

The rhythm of the bassguitar is just amazing.
Waiting for your next contribution.

And most important, what you'd already mentioned, you've enjoyed yourself

Satchwood

Very cool guitar and bass line!!  The vocals are that in-your-face deth-metal style....  I've never been into that genre, but I do hear a little Megadeth.  Can't quite make out all the lyrics, you might want to post them if you don't mind....

I'm a fan of "tension and release," but this song was all tension, like a long fuse that goes out before it reaches the dynamite.  This song needs an explosion (or two) somewhere.

This isn't my genre, so its very likely I'm trying to make this fit a different paradigm.

Great metal track you guys have come up with here. Vocals are great,at one point there's a strange double track vocal effect that is really cool. I look forward to hearing the rest :)
He's not the messiah he's a very naughty boy!

Excellent feedback!  Ted, I agree with the explosion aspect that's missing!  If I could restart it, I'd put a few chord changes that would make this more dramatic!  Thanks for the feedback!

Hey Rockatron - by the title, I thought this was gonna be a tribute to "Chuck Norris".  ;D

Interesting piece of music though. I used to screw around with these types of riffs "back in the day".

One piece of advice - adjust the level on the guitar so it doesn't limit the meter. It sounds like you recorded it too "hot" and are getting some unwanted distortion.
I do it it all the time too, and I usually don't notice it until the mix-down.
It ain't pretty being easy.
