Impressive playing and sweet tone Crosseyed, you have captured a great sound. What brand basses are these, any particular set-ups on the Instruments? I'm still new to the BR myself and haven't had a chance to try my Bass with it.

Thanks!  :D

Actually the basses on this recording are standard squier basses. :o
VM series fretted and fretless. Stock pickups ( duncan designed ) So nothing fancy there, the basses are plugged direct into the M-Br.
Patch used is the standard : CLN bass patch . I only added a light chorus afterwards. :).
All that happens onboard th M-br.

It's really a quite handy recorder.  ;D

I dusted off the BR today, and I thought what better way to get back into the swing of things than attempt to play over your track.

Actually, the thought process was more like, "What better way to procrastinate cleaning up the fallen limbs in my yard from Tropical Storm Fay than..."

I experimented a tad trying to create a stereo rhythm by changing tones on one side, and the solo is only a second pass, so be gentle.

Once again, great bass playing.

Sweet!! Nice playing mate, complimented the bassline perfectly.

Cool .... I will soon post a new piece that's quite funny and funky and NEEDS to have guitar added.

So for all the guitar players .... HIT IT !  ;D

Thanks for your kind words, gentlemen.

The bass tone is still killing me.  A Squier into the BR?

Fuhgetaboutit.

Yep,
I mostly use the standard squier VM jazz basses ( fretted en fretless ) and plug them directly into the m-br. Than I use the standard clnbass patch. Nothing more nothing less. ;D

You say : The bass tone is still killing me. Is it that awfull ?? :-\

grtz,

Oh no, just a figure of speech.  I mentioned in a reply to your newer post that it almost sounds like an old Alembic in places.  Great tone!
