I was aiming for something psychedelic but catchy. All done solo on the MBR, including a first verse sung through one of the guitar patches to get some 'swirl' on the vocal. It has guitars (Danelectro Hornet), bass, vox and a dash of piano.

That's another 12-track album done  :D

Thanks for listening you lovely people.

I think we were all born in the wrong ERA. Everything I hear you do Tim should be a hit. Does the UK have "UK has talent"? You'd win for sure. Modern Day David Bowe on this one.  :)
Why don't we do it on the road?

Speechless...

Okay, recovering now...you've achieved your aim, Tim: it is both catchy and psychedelic! The last band to achieve that so consistently well broke up in 1970, I hear...  8)

I loved the guitar effect on your voice in the beginning, and the backing vocals were sublime. How you manage to get so much guitar into your songs without muddying it up is a constant source of wonder to me.

It's pretty much down to careful tone choice and getting the panning right. If I have an acoustic layer, I like to sit it far left in the mix and add lots of reverb. My next layer of electric jangle then sounds nice and distinct when spooned on top of it. Lead work is always done with a patch that has a bit of 'bite' (such as MSDry). All trial and error really! But I enjoy choosing the tones almost as much as I enjoy writing the songs.

Cheers!

Wow, I just love so much about this one! The great vox/effects/harmonies, fresh guitar licks, crisp rhythm, melodic bass... Damn, it's all fantastic!

And as usual, the production was out of this world - It just keeps soundin better and better.

I really liked this song, too - That's what counts in the end, I guess!

Sublime, you've got that swirly feel captured nicely and it really works without getting intrusive. Great song, I love the chord progression and bass playing in the chorus. The piano is a nice touch and the whole thing just works perfectly.

That is so true, and I can picture you doing this one alone on an open mic night.

Great song.

And then the wrapping: You really have learned to do this!! It is so professional sounding and performance is top-notch as usual. I really liked that melodic bass too !!
