Quote from: Greeny on March 17, 2010, 09:19:28 AMWow. This is perfectly polished and professional, with James' usual injection of honest humanity to add depth and warmth.  Is that a fretless bass? It sounds damn good whatever it is. Top song!

Thanks everybody, again!

Greeny, no, it's a Godin guitar in a old (but always good) Roland GR-30 guitar synth. of course, the patch is "fretless bass"

This is truly beautiful. I'd be tempted to put some Horny Harold on it but I suspect he might be too, well, horny. I think it's a lovely piece and Jim's vox just add another sublime layer to it.

Great collab guys.

Cheers,

Nigel

I've remixed it a little, now Giacomo's voice has a little more presence...

Thanks, thanks, thanks; expresso coffee paid for everybody!  :D

Hola, Diego!

About percussion: for the "basic" drums/percussion, I've used some loops that come with Steinberg Sequel, but as always, as a proud owner of an old Roland GR-30 guitar synth and a couple of Godin guitars with hexaphonic pickup, I've added some *spices* with my guitar, in form of percussion...

A stellar song...has a Sade feel to it. Excellent vocals Jimbo! I agree with the Sting comparison.
