QuoteSweet metallic riffs there, gnasty - I agree with orh, you style takes me back to Bill Nelson in his Be Bop Deluxe days - very melodic, with great tone and fluidity.

Well now that is something i never heard before. I never heard of him but checked him out on youtube. He was pretty awesome!...thanks!

QuoteVery clever, I like the little counterpoint lines on the RH of the mix. Your guitar playing skills are very evident, great lead and rhythm work but you should also be proud of the production. Everything is well recorded and balanced and sounds great. It really shows your playing off very well and I look forward to hearing more.

Thanks Nigel, I panned an acoustic right and electric clean left with chorus. And added another acoustic on top of that but a bit lower volume.

QuoteEven if you set aside the fantastic playing, I think you did a great job on the production. And it is well written, too!

Well done regarding the levels, panning and guitar tone/eq. Whether it was intentional or not, you managed to get all the unnecessary deep bass out of your guitar tracks, which gave yourself loads of headroom and allowed the bass guitar to shine through.

I can't even say "this was great for your first post", as it was great period. I'm extremely impressed with what you've accomplished here, and maybe a little envious, too!

Wow thanks Mark..coming from you and ferry on this production makes me feel good for sure. I love your guys productions too. I think i actually lucked out in mastering though cuz i did have a snag. I think for future recordings i`m gonna do wav 1 track at a time like Orh and 64 showed me. Thanks again everyone. Without all your answers and inspiration, i`d still be just playing songs in my head.

This may have been your first MBR production, but you sound like you know your way around a multitrack recorder.

The playing is fluid, and held my attention all the way through--which is saying something.  (I haven't had much patience for instrumentals since my prog days when I seemed to have the time to lay in bed listening with headphones for hours.)

:o Wow - fantastic song and guitar playing Gnasty.

Sounds like you were aptly schooled in the fine art of 80's hair metal.
This wouldn't be out of place on a "Poison" album. That's a compliment by the way!

This is a truly fantastic song and production man.

Looking forward to hearing your next submission!!
It ain't pretty being easy.

Okay to Cover

Rickocaster

Wow, this is not just fantastic playing - it's very original as well. At times, I can hear a little Irish flavor in there. Very cool.  Great production as well. Good use of panning.

Thanks again. I knew that Satriani would come up soon enough and I DID expect to hear it from you Satch thank you...haha He is a great influence but my fav guitarist is Randy Rhoads.

QuoteI haven't had much patience for instrumentals since my prog days

That is to be expected to. People dont like instrumentals as much. But i try to do them like a real song. The guitar melodies are the words. As long as it is catchy and there is changes it keeps someone interested and focused on the song.

Well anyways thanks again...still a bit to do for the next tune

Happy St. Patrick`s Day

Awesome G. Don't have time too listen to much to everyone's stuff but I made time for this one. Simply Fantastic!
Why don't we do it on the road?

Greeny

Hot damn - you're a great guitar player! I don't normally go for instrumentals, but most instrumentals aren't played with this level of virtuosity. Incredible performance and mixing, but most of all, just a damn fine song. Wow!

Gnasty

So i just got home from a St. Patty`s Day Massacre/heavy rockin party. It was a goood one for sure. Damn i`m blitzed! Thanks Holdempok for the great comment.

Damn Greeny, I had a great night tonight and for you (the microbr internet king) to tell me you love my song and playing just topped my night off sure. Thanks my friend. Can`t wait to post more and hear more great songs from this site. Which has been alot of awesome ones lately.

Thanks

Better late than never...

This is incredible! I hadn't recalled that you were such a good guitar player! Amazing stuff man. Loved your melody. Something that does seem to be lacking in some instrumental work.

Badass!
