This is a song that i started recording yesterday.  I've borrowed a line from Bright Eyes i think (First time, repeat offender) until i can come up with something better.  As always there is no meaning to this....the words came out first time as i run through the song on my dictaphone.  I always do this, listen back write it out and start recording proper on the MBR.

I took my eyes for a ride through the bright lights,
Window shopping as the girls walk on by,
And I know it's gonna take some understanding,
Either that or hold on out for a while,

I'm in hole of my own paranoia,
And its everywhere that's underneath the sky,
I'm a first time repeat offender,
I'm a prisoner till the day that i die,

And there's rings around my brain,
And they say I'm halfway to insane,
But those rings, those rings can stay,
Cos they tell me.......,

I took my eyes for a ride through the bright lights,
Window shopping as the girls walk on by,
And I know it's gonna take some understanding,
Either that or hold on out for a while,

And there's rings around my brain,
And they say I'm halfway to insane,
But those rings, those rings can stay,
Cos they tell me.......,
Everything,

I love this site.  I come on here after a shitty day at work and find something wonderful like this posted.  On this little site we write and read and imagine each others songs and poetry, and it feels like one of the most important things I have done all day.  This is damn fine poetry and it will make for a really good song thats for sure.  Its like seeing the pictures going through the  mind of the guy in the song as he walks along through his day.  Very imaginative words here.  It portrays feelings, emotion and sights from the guys day.

I tried to upload a few songs last night but at the moment all the mp3's are over 5mb. I think its because they are the "master" recordings.  I'm gonna have to burn them onto cd and then rip them again i reckon.
