Is it OK to bump cover versions of my own song? Cos I'm still loving this, Geir consider me completely blown away. Love the guitar and bass at the end.

Cheers,

I'm listening to this first, then I'll hunt down the original.

Great job Geir.  Somehow it reminds me of a Western movie.  It ended a bit abruptly.  I wanted to hear that guitar go on for awhile longer.

As always - a haunting vocal Geir.

Your dedication to detail is impressive, and your playing and singing is immaculate!
This sounds great. The guitar solo fits perfectly (but I agree it ends a little too soon).

P.S. -Great song by the way  Nigel. I must go check out the original.
It ain't pretty being easy.

Thank you for the kind comments everyone! And BIG thanks to Nigel for making this wonderful song, glad you liked it !!

This was a fun journey, taking on this song. When this fest came up, this was the first song I thought of, partly because it's such a great song, and partly because I wanted a challenge. I've spent many hours trying to figure out how to do this, and the result was something completely different then what it started out as :D

The first thing I decided was to use a completely different drum-pattern. I started out with a JAZZ-pattern and ended up with this. Started with some funkish guitars (they can still be found deeeeeeeeeep in the mix. Well I said 20-something tracks ... actually, I was taking a backup of this one the other day and using the BR waveConverter I discovered that ALL 32 tracks where used! + I did dump some along the way over to the PC.  ::)

Well thanx again for listening ... and I'm glad the original surfaced after this post, it should be one of the songs you get on the card when buying the mbr !!

PS if the boskoswartzisis hits me again there may be a remix ;D

Damn... I've always loved Nigels original... I couldn't have imagined what you've done here Geir. This is truley amazing and creative how you transformed this true Songcrafters classic. Only wish I would have heard it a year ago. Great job both of you.
