Okey ...

well ... "a bit scary" it was indeed to dig into this ...  the original is one of my favorites so it was with mixed feelings I asked Nigel if it was ok to do a cover of this one. But as you know if you've been here a while ... I like a challenge.

Nigel used 40 tracks ... I can't match that but I did get "drive busy" and "card read error" after passing 20-something tracks ...

As for the devil's interval I think it almost got lost in the mix, but the lead at the end has traces of it left ......

This was a really fun song to play around with and I hope I didn't overdo it with all the guitars and voices and tin-flute and heavy bass ....

Best played with the amp turned to 11 !!!!

One of my favorites too! Wow what a task to take on...and this sounds incredible - true to the original but very Geirafied. Excellent work on this...this kicks!

Holy smokes is right.  The original by Nigel is one of my favorites from this site, and this cover is...just...flipping hell...I don't know...its insane...Makes me think of Jethro Tull for some reason.  This is deadly good.  You are my hero Geir.

Now I'm double-stunned!  :o :o

I somehow missed the original and just finished listening to it, and now I'm blown away by your cover, Geir - amazing work - that is some powerful guitar riffing, and the tin whistle gives it a Celtic flavor, to my ears.

Superb Geir, a mighty song to take on, but you managed to nail it completely.

Wow, this is a really weird experience for me, I've never had something I've written covered. And this is fantastic Geir, it really shows this could be quite a metall-y song, you've created a really heavy version of it that sounds very different to the original but still has a strong dark edge. It's really, really clever, and the tin whistle adds great atmosphere. The guitar at the end is fabulous and the vox sound great.

Wow, I'm really blown away and very flattered (and that's just first lisetn). Great job!

Cheers,

Nigel
