cheers guys, i know what you mean sandy  but the music made me sing that way, if that makes sense lol. if i get a chance i might try it in my own voice, but i think a "nice" voice might lose some of its poignancy as its written from the perspective of a dad learning how to be a dad and no matter how clumsy or unskilled he is, he tries to do whats best and always with love does that make sense lol.

i just had a wee go at it in my own voice but it just doesnt work as well as the gruff tom waitsian stylee. but i think it would suit geirs deep voice.
