BR users who've never experimented with the effects settings might be interested to know that you can control much of that in the speaker simulator effect. The Type parameter allows you to choose between several open-back and sealed speaker cabinets, and whether the virtual mic is a dynamic mic or a condenser mic (why they call these choices "On Mic" and "Off Mic", I don't know). And the "Mic Set" parameter allows you to position the mic dead-centre or up to 10 cm. away from the centre. The only things missing are mic angle and distance from grille cloth.

So, if you find some of the effects patches a bit too bright and lacking warmth, try going into the speaker simulation effect's settings and moving the virtual mic away from the virtual speaker's centre as shown in the videos.
