Hi!
Here is a lullaby I wrote in italian..
It's called  "Ninna LA": it's a battle of words between  "ninnananna" (lullaby) and LA thas is the A note in italian.. every verse start with a different note (SOL = G,  FA = F and so on...).
The sound of the classical guitar is terrible, any advice? Should I record again changing setting (and.. how??   ;))

I'm looking for others lullabies and also i'll be happy if someone would like to make an english version of this one,
so my babe will hear new lullabies and different languages: that's why I write the original italian lyrics and a translation (surely full of error, i'm sorry!).

Thanx all!

Ninna LA

Ninna-FA ninna fa-i nanna così
coi piedi scalzi passiamo di qui
sull'arcobaleno per attraversare
la notte che arriva di già

Ninna-MI ninnami cullami un pò
come fa il fiume al battello però
senza che abbia mai freddo
coperta da tutto l'amore che puoi

Ninna-RE ninna-RE rema nel blu
sul tuo barchino di seta e pelouche
raccogli i tuoi sogni e ritorna
per poi raccontarmeli

Ninna-DO ninna do-mani sarà
un giorno nuovo di felicità
a guardare i sapori e gli odori
annusarne i colori

Ninna-SI ninna si dormi ora shhhh
e nel silenzio tu scivoli giù
e dormi che questo domani
vediamo arrivare
tu dormi che questo domani
vediamo arrivare

..English:

lullaby lullaby, look what's there
the shells are already closed
above the golden sand
I am sure that they are jealous of you

lullaby lullaby, penny of King
that you can share with what is
smiles, caresses and a kiss
for you little baby

lullaby lullaby, sleep little baby
with your bare feet pass here
over the raimbow to cross
the night that comes already

lullaby lullaby, lull me a little
how does the river to the boat but
without ever being cold
covered by all the love that you can

lullaby lullaby, row in the blue
on your silk and plush little ship
Collect your dreams and returns
then tell me

lullaby lullaby,  tomorrow will be
a new day of happiness
looking at the tastes and smells
and smelling the colors

lullaby lullaby, sleep now shhhh (hush)
and in silence you slip away
and go to sleep that tomorrow will come
and go to sleep that tomorrow will come

this is beautiful,  not able to help you with recording, but i am sure advice will be forthcoming, i know some other members use a pick up for their acoustic plug that into the guitar in, and record via the onboard mic and guitar in. this records the mic to one track and the guitar in to another and panning both tracks full left and right give the guitar a fuller sound. to do this when selecting input. press gtr and mic at the same time.

i wouldnt mind a go at trying to sing the song in english i will pm you my email address.

What? No "Ninna TI" verse?  ;)

Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long, long way to run
Sew, a needle pulling thread
La, a note to follow Sew
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to Do (oh-oh-oh)

It sounds good to me. Did you use any effects? I believe the patch MC05:ForNylon is meant for recording a nylon string guitar.

Never mind. I just found this explanation in Wikipedia:

"Ut" was changed much later in Italy to the open syllable Do,[7] and Si was added to complete the diatonic scale. In Anglo-Saxon countries, "si" was changed to "ti" by Sarah Glover in the nineteenth century so that every syllable might begin with a different letter[8]. "Ti" is used in tonic sol-fa and in the song "Do-Re-Mi".

And you have a "Ninna SI" verse, so the song is complete.

Just beautiful, and as it's time to get to bed I'll let this one be the last for tonight, putting it on my piePod too!

A wonderful performance too and the recording is quite good.

When it comes to recording, my advice is to get the mic as close to the source as possible .. well 10-30 cm depending on what you record. For guitar I recommend placing the mic somewhere between the soundhole and the 12th fret on the guitar and about 20 cm away. Experiment a bit with that using the OnlyLMT patch (makes it easier not to get too hot recording) when that is as good as you can get it, you can experiment with other patches!
