Sony ECM-MS907

I'm just starting and can't get this Sony ECM-MS907 condenser mic to work. I went to UTILITY>PLUGIN POWER>ON. I also did: INPUT>MIC. So why can't I hear anything? Help please.

You probably have the input set to mike? It needs to be ext I think. Mines in the bedroom and She's sleeping so cant check. Either ext or lin.
