Shit. There goes JK's chance of appearing on the Tom Robinson show!

I'm not sure if this is the first of many casulties or just a token gesture to keep the current / next government off their backs.

Surely they've saved enough dosh on Johnathon Ross' salary to keep this running?!

Booger!

it's a sad day for independant music.

This is soo stupid. Six is a genuine public service, whereas R1 and R2 just repeat what can be heard on any commercial station. They should go first. Thompson is just looking for easy targets.

It is.

The BBC is  working hard to protect itself, in doing this it's probably moving away from what it does best, which is taking a risk with non-mainstream, non-commercial, interesting stuff.

Which propbably means that it's moving a step closer to being broken up.

It's a shame. I used to work for the BBC. It's a great organisation.

It's just mad. 6music is brilliant. I listen to it loads and have done pretty much from when it started. This is terrible news. Have these maniacs got any idea about new, innotive and underground music? Obviously not. Wankers.  ;D
