I always struggled a bit with Beefheart and I don't know this song, but I enjoyed listening to your version.  In another post I was a bit scathing about bagpipes but I can cope when they are synthesized and don't have the drones of the original.  I realise that that being disparaging about the pipes is probably fighting talk but no offense meant and put it down to me being half sassenach.

not a fan of the pipes either lol. my friend mark hated them too, then he moved to new zealand and he said every time he heard them he would cry and wish for scotland, he came back home was too homesick, apparently they play bagpipes on every corner in new zealand.

Well, upon the my oh my, what a great cover. I don't know the original (I know quite a lot of Beefheart) but this is fantastic. So moody and great noodlings going on there. Love it.

Cheers,

Nigel

Hi...I Always loved this song and still have warmth for this number. You reminded me of the good (crazy) old days (although still having a ball) and brought a big smile to my boat race.

Well crafted and executed...

Thanks ORH for these.  Man-o-man is this guy cool.  I see what you see, I hear what you hear.  So loose and open, the cat was wide open, everything going through him.  Fantastic.  What a voice.
