The song is about Honest People getting through everyday life.... And marching on regardless of adversity....

It is also about Sticking by your Morals....





The Chorus.......

Well.....

The full Saying is:-

 “May as well be hanged for a sheep as for a lamb”


It means:-
If the consequence of failure is the same in either case, then go for the option that yields the greatest reward should the venture succeed.

Suggested origin:
Until at least 1800 in England, the penalty for stealing sheep, irrespective of the animal's age or gender, was execution or deportation. Since there is more meat and wool on a fully-grown sheep, why bother putting the same effort into stealing a lamb if the consequence of being caught for either crime was the gallows?


I don’t Agree with this saying....

In the Song I change the phrase somewhat and say:-

“Get Hung For a sheep, as a Lamb....”

In the context of the Lyrics I mean:-

“live an honest life..... But Still be “fucked over” for it....”

Personally, I value living an honest life more than anything else.... Being “Fucked over” is a natural consequence of this and I come to expect it...

No point in getting Down about it... Especially if living an Honest life is the right thing to do.......
